| Our dashboard will assist the concerned in monitoring of water depth and electrical conductivity during floods hence making them proactive consequently reducing fatalities and economic losses. |
| What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? |
| Site specific real time monitoring and hence modern flood warning system is what our country lacks. Consequently the casualties due to drowning or flood electrocution are in hundreds per year (NDMA). Ergo, an efficient system is required to raise timely alerts reducing life and economic losses. |
| Who needs it ? How many would benefit ? |
| Important authorities such as National Disaster management authority, Meteorological department will be able to alert people by knowing the exact location and condition. In addition urban units, metropolitan cooperation and masses would benefit. |
| How will the solution works |
| A device would be installed in the areas that we will initially identify by geospatial analysis as the most vulnerable to floods. That device would basically gather the water depth and current data using water level and conductivity sensors in real time, then transmit it to the cloud and from there it will be fetched and displayed on the web and mobile application. |
| Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different |
| Till now no modern flood warning system can be seen in our country’s market. The archaic methods do not have this aspect of live monitoring. Our unique selling proposition includes cost reduction and monitoring using new technologies and that too in real time. |
