Professional Mobile E-SportsPlayerssit in the same posture for prolonged periods contributing to significant health risksthat can compromise theirperformance, or worse,can lead to early retirement.A survey of 50 elite mobile-gaming athletes was borrowedfrom an existing study(linked below).A separatesurvey wasconducted to weigh-in the opinions of non-professional players as well.These surveys were designedto highlight the complaints,thepressure-points,andthefatigue patterns.A total of 46% and 44% of the participants felt tired frequently and occasionally, while 34% and 58% experienced eyestrainsfrequently and occasionally, respectively. More than 50% of the participants reported headache and neck pain.In typical mobile-gaming athletes, maintaining posture with a prolonged inferior viewing angle and hand-heldmobile-gaming position could induce neckflexion, repeated or sustained wrist bendingand repeatedpushing thumb motions.
