| Abstract: |
| The aim of this project is to develop a mobile based application that caters ride hailing and logistics services. The name of the application is “Wapsi”. This name is derived from the Urdu language that means “returning”. It connects users with the riders who can come online and make use of automobiles. The user and rider will enter a location. Real time location sharing for riders will be shown to those users where there is a match for destination location between user and rider, this will be done by destination matching algorithm and then the application will show available riders going the same way as user. The cost of the journey varies depending on the type of vehicle and will be calculated by measuring distances through directions and places API by google that allows the calculation of route per miles etc. Chat system would be facilitated that would help in negotiation of fares. Users can keep a record of ride histories. Application provides different payment methods such as easypaisa, jazz Cash, digital banks through which transactions can be easily monitored. To solve the problem of time constraints, the concept of estimated time of arrival would be introduced in the application that will make users aware of the estimated time of incoming driver.
