Abstract:
Artificial vision spectacle is a type of head wear or smart spectacle prototype which will help the visually impaired persons to walk and do their daily works independently with the help of computer vision. The main objective of this prototype is to give an artificial guidance using computer vision algorithms which would indirectly give the vision to the visually impaired persons.
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
This prototype can fill the several unmet needs in society, Visual impaired persons would be able to do their works independently as this prototype will guide them artificially using the computer vision algorithms with the combinations of different sensors and cameras.
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
This prototype will be in the use of persons who are visually impaired. According to the survey, 9,028,073 people in the country have vision impairment — ranging from mild impairment to permanent blindness. Out of them, 484,027 are blind, down from 1.5 million in 2004 survey.
How will the solution works
The consumer will simply wear it and then the added sensors and camera in the prototype will take the input from the surrounding as an artificial object detection with the help of computer vision algorithms and then the prototype would process that input using the processors and will generate the output in the form of audio or vibrations. These audio and vibration sensation will guide the visually impaired persons by an audio voice or vibration which would have some meanings to the user to take
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
Phoenix 99 bionic eye from University of Sydney, Balzie Quantum technology from Australia, These are some tech stacks globally who are working in supporting and finding solutions for visually impaired persons.   DANASLOT
