| Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune progressive disease causing irreversible dysfunctionality of joints. It is mainly affecting women and more than 350 million people worldwide. The objective of this research is to develop smart drug delivery system that can enhance methotrexate efficacy. Sol gel is a unique technique that can form gel at body temperature and become liquid at room temperature. |

| Oral dosage form of methotrexate has bundle of side effects than its therapeutic effects not only targeting patient compliance but overlapping the utility of this drug. Sol gel of this drug in combination with folic acid will help to bypass these unwanted effects and increase the patient compliance |

| Rheumatoid arthritis not only targeting the older population but also adults..
