Abstract:
    Lack of clean drinking water is a major global issue. Pakistan is one of the most affected countries with only 36% of the population having access to safe clean water. AquaSafe is an IoT enabled smart water quality monitoring system that reads live data from water reservoirs and immediately alerts users in case of any contamination.
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
    Currently water quality monitoring is reliant on lab testing of random samples. This is a highly inefficient method in which the detection is delayed and crucial time is wasted. In contrast, our solution provides real time contamination detection which prevents the further wastage of water.
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
   The beneficiaries of our project would be, firstly the people of Pakistan benefitting from the improved water management and also the government of Pakistan.
How will the solution works
    We will create IoT devices consisting of sensors measuring key water quality parameters. The values from these devices for different locations will be visible for monitoring at a live dashboard provided on our website. The website will also provide functionality for management of local admins and IoT engineers who can deploy new devices and receive alerts in case of contamination.
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
    Currently in Pakistan there are no competitors as no other IoT based solution exists for water quality monitoring in the market.
