Abstract: |
This project aims to design a drilling and seeding mechanism for the Agribot. The drilling mechanism digs a hole sufficient enough to place seeds in it, whereas the seeding mechanism moves at a sufficient speed in the right direction to place the seed into those respective holes. |
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? |
Due to inflation, food prices are increased by a large amount and due to overpopulation and poverty, people are dying of hunger. Our project will help increase the production of food so there will be an equal share left for all of us. |
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ? |
Due to the economic crisis, there is a food shortage going on in the whole world. And every third-world country would require this due to a declining labor force and high labor costs in order to alleviate the food crisis and let the economically unfortunate people benefit from it. |
How will the solution works |
Suppose it takes a farmer to farm 100 by 100 m^2 of the area in 1 day the robot will need half time or even less than this. Our Robot will drill holes in equal patterns while planting the seed in the same pattern too. First, it will drill holes while having the drill mounted on it and then later plant the seeds with the mounted seeder. With it being operated on a remote control anyone can easily use it to reduce the workload to a great extent. |
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different |
Our project is at the forefront of agricultural engineering, so there are limited competitors in the industry. But the structure of our bot is made with inexpensively available material; therefore, internationally, our project is more economically viable. |
