Abstract: |
ACL is a common issue worldwide, which develops into more complications over time. Affected or injured knees require special attention for their well-being. A supportive soft exo-brace in collaboration with real-time monitoring fulfills the user's need. Everyday Physiotherapy sessions are hard to catch up with, providing a solution that accommodates a remote session and knee well-being. |
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? |
To reduce the possibility of a recurring knee injury, avoid arthritis in the long run. Impart awareness about knee health, by providing a remote therapy assistant. Allowing real-time monitoring, and assistance in pain relief and recovery made possible by an application and external support. |
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ? |
Patients who are careful about the well-being of their knee health, and people who are not able to attend regular therapy sessions due to the fast life. Sportspersons who need to keep a track of their injury progress to recover on a faster rate and avoid recurring injury. |
How will the solution works |
The solution works as a modular sleeve when comes with a wearable sensor. The inner sleeve would provide light compression, and hot/cold comfort while the Exo support provides safety from impact, support and helps in form correction. The use of the sensors would provide Real-time Data, and compute movements. The product would be connected to a mobile application to enhance user wellness and allow tracking of the process. Provide direct contact with a physiotherapist to maintain a feedback loop. |
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different |
In Pakistan, there is no such product with provides remote monitoring and guidance to patients undergoing physiotherapy. conventional therapies sessions are used, yet due to recent COVID there is a high need for the development of remote sessions that are helpful to the patient |
