| Despite large efforts by Twitter and Facebook on removing fake profiles, there still exists a lot. Fake Profiles play an important role in defame one person or organization, misinterpreting information, spreading hate, blackmailing, and Doing scams. This Project will be using supervised based Deep Learning and NLP ML models in analyzing behavior of profiles and predicting them as fake or not. |
| What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? |
| This will benefit Authoritative bodies, Cybersecurity consultancy companies to normal people like social media influencers. Society badly needs to remove fake profiles which are defaming, spreading hate, and wrong information, and as we are digitizing very fast scams are also being done easily. |
| Who needs it ? How many would benefit ? |
| Its reported that twitter has 20% or more fake accounts. Moreover, Facebook & Instagram also have reportedly more than 5% monthly fake active users. Our goal via this idea is to stop hated speech, propaganda, cybercrimes, cyberbullying and blackmailing which are mostly done from fake accounts. |
| How will the solution works |
| We’ll firstly scrape the social media accounts using python libraries for a specific username also extract each account's detail (following count, follower count, etc.) Then pass these extracted profiles and details to Machine Learning model that will check for the fake accounts from the provided data. Moreover we will perform analysis on these fake accounts and detected cyberbullying / cybercrimes actions like hated speech and propaganda initiation using NLP. |

| Our competitors are all the social media platform owners who have created their fake profile detection systems e.g. Facebook, LinkedIn etc.
