Abstract:
    The world is moving towards renewable energy resources to meet its needs. Pakistan has a high potential to produce electricity using wind energy The foundation that is used to build the wind turbine farms is Monopile. In order to promote industrialization and eradicate poverty we must use our coastline. Offshore soil has sufficient qualities to withstand huge lateral and vertical loads.
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
    Pakistan's electricity power plants run on imported fuel. Wind energy is the most reasonable option for generating electricity. In order to stimulate industry and decrease environmental pollution. Monopile foundation is the sustainable option to construct OWT farms.
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
   Government and the people of Pakistan are the immediate beneficiaries of the foundation design. The study of soil behavior and the design itself open doors for further studies to use the seawater and sea soil bed of Pakistan. It will be beneficial for the world to decrease environmental pollution.
How will the solution works
    The solution will give a parametric study to the Government of Pakistan which will help them to employ the design to meet the energy needs of Pakistan. In order to design, the method that will be adopted is “Non-Linear Three-dimensional numerical based design approach”. The design is 3D model of monopile while treating the soil of the seabed as a non-linear three-dimensional material. p-y curves will be calibrated, and foundation will be designed considering the soil conditions of Pakistan.
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
    As of now, no governmental agency is working on this innovative idea. Some parametric studies might be done but particularly for Offshore, no Wind turbine farms have been proposed. Also, Monopiles for wind turbine farms is in itself an innovative idea
