They will no longer need a guide because an entirely new aiding device has been developed, which will improve their performance while simultaneously lowering their reliance on others. Moreover, it is anticipated that the suggested solution will also be improving the quality of their life. |
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? |
People with poor vision may engage in less physical activity as a result of their reduced vision. They are frustrated by their total reliance on a guide for their training. Research through different sources also validates that how lack of independence effects their running performance. |
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ? |
The user of this product is majorly visually impaired running athletes. Blind people who rely on a guide to compete in any running competition. |
How will the solution works |
It will be assisting visually impaired runner in running independently. This product will be replacing the guide. There will be the source of electromagnetic waves on white lines of the track. User will be wearing a device on their arms. It contains sensors that will be detecting electromagnetic waves and vibrators that will vibrate if user leaves the safe zone. There will be continuous low intensity vibration, but, as the user leaves the safe zone, vibration intensity increases. This warns user |

Google Project Guideline, Way band, Blind Track etc. These are the competitors. They are quite complexed products which caused them to fail when their surroundings were changed. This product will be simple, user friendly and works on the similar principle which are already being practiced by user. |
