| To raise agricultural output and guarantee food security, slow-release fertilizers (SRFs) have emerged as a potential solution to the problems caused by the poor NUE of urea and its environmental implications. Densification of nutrient-loaded biochar into tablets can improve biochar handling and transportation efficiencies. These tablets will gradually release embedded nutrients in the soil. |
| What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? |
| Excessive Chemical fertilizer usage has a severe influence on the environment and agricultural yield as it also increases production costs, so Biochar application with nutrient will reduce nutrient leaching, improve fertility of soil and act as sorbent for pollutant conversion. |
| Who needs it ? How many would benefit ? |
| In agricultural sector, farmers are our customer. All farmers need these because most of the soil is nutrient deficient. As urea promotion is subsidized so I will reach farmers in person that instead of using urea for all the crops, find out which specific nutrient that plant need for optimal growth |
| How will the solution works |
| Our USP is the use of biochar for manufacturing of plant nutrient tablets as biochar act as soil amendment and it removes pollutants from the soil. Different binding agent, fillers and lubricating agent are used in making of these fertilizer tablets along with nutrients. These fertilizers are designed to synchronize nutrient delivery in accordance with plant requirements. This will improve NUE by less frequent dosing and diminishing nutrient removal rate from the soil by heavy rainfall.

| Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different |
| Fertilizer industries are our competitors but our solution is different as we use biochar along with different nutrients. We made 16 different tablets so farmers have liability to take specific nutrient tablet for their crops after soil test instead of using urea for all crops. |
