Abstract:
    In Pakistan, more than 90% of the population relies on milk but consumers are unaware of its low-quality with mixed adulterants. We aim to solve this problem by developing a cost-effective, portable and point-of-care testing kit that can measure (evaluate) milk’s critical parameters like fat, proteins, lactose, pH, and calcium levels, etc. by integrating smart sensors with IoT technology.
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
    Our project aims to reduce the practice of milk adulteration by providing an affordable and easy to use solution which can be used by anyone at anywhere. Our smart IoT-based portal testing device can provide instant reliable results that consumers can evaluate at home, farm/dairy or any location.

   The project's main goal is to provide a smart quality monitoring system for milk products at a lower price so that any consumer (farmer or layman) can check the quality of milk instantly at their own premises without visiting specific labs. How will the solution works
    We will use smart sensor technologies to measure different parameters of milk like fat, water level, protein, calcium and lactose contents. Combination of electronic sensors with IoT are used to measure these milk parameters precisely. These sensors will act as nodes and send their data to the central microcontroller. The microcontroller will process the data and send it to the cloud server wirelessly. The cloud server will store the data and send it through SMS to the farmer or a user at home.
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
    Local products use either chemical, complex or unreliable methods to evaluate milk quality by measuring only water level at hidden/specialized labs. Our product is a Point-of-Care device that can be used anywhere without any complex equipment by providing diverse range of milk’s quality parameters.
