| Abstract: |
| Construction is a labor intensive, error prone process which becomes dangerous in hostile regions. It is a need of time to automate construction especially in hostile region where military has to perform construction under constant threat from enemy. Our project objectives is to create a robot that can perform construction in hostile border regions without human input. |
| What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? |
| Military has lost lives in fence construction on border has yet to employ a safe platform for construction work. This will improve safety of labor working at hazardous construction sites while catering for the an increase in demand of infrastructures, due to ever changing geo political situation. |
| Who needs it ? How many would benefit ? |
| Our idea targets the military and government which would have strategic tool for speedy and safe construction. It also paves the way to innovation for industry researchers as it explores the infinite possibilities of robotics in construction industry. |
| How will the solution works |
| First, a plan of the required site will have to be made in a BIM software, such as Revit. Then using Dynamo, coordinates of area will be exported to the autonomous excavator. The excavator will use those coordinates to reach excavation site using GPS and perform excavation as per the excavation drawing. |
| Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different |
| There are no such competitors in strategic domain. Foreign suppliers cannot be involved due to national security concerns. Therefore ours will be the only viable solution. |
