Abstract: |
A Virtual Reality system that is meant for the training of medical students or young doctors(initially) that lets the person wearing headset view a hospital environment. It shows an Emergency Room(first module) & lets them treat patients as they would in real life there with the help of controllers or haptic gloves. A critic will inform them of their performance & help them do better. |
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? |
The idea fulfills the need for lack training required to become a professional doctor. Healthcare has been, is & will be always important in our lives & its betterment is the goal here. Better Learning through training will result in better doctors. |
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ? |
The Medical Colleges of Pakistan(initially & then going global) would benefit from this product as they can enable their students to practice in a reality based simulated environment & train them better. |
How will the solution works |
The VR headset shows a simulation of an emergency room. Different patients with different scenarios come in for e.g a patient with an open wound or a leg fracture. The doctor wearing the VR headset should be able to apply what they have studied on that virtual patient and see the results of their actions. The software will be fed with the best practices to specific scenarios(basically whatever they learn in those heavy books is applied in visual representation here). req: inc space to type) |
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different |
There are no competitors in this field in the market yet. We might just be the first ones to explore healthcare with this perspective.
Our Solution is different because it enables early exposure to real life scenarios & saves time rather than waiting for the final year for medical college students. |
